Tech Wearable NuDown Jacket warms you up but pricey

Bridgette Meinhold picked up on a very interesting point in a recent article she wrote for Ecouterre...  controlled warmth comes at a price.  But if you are the outdoorsy type who would rather have a blood-pressure-like air pump tucked inside a pocket to warm up the jacket you are wearing or put a few more sweaters on, then maybe this NuDown Jacket is for you.

The Marylebone Tote (or boat?)

What better way to tote around your tech stuff than in an expensive leather Tote christened by  Olivia Palermo and British entity Aspinal of London nicknamed the Modern gal's "Tech Tote". Stuff your iPad, your iPhone, and a battery charger inside this roomy bag.  Just be prepared to suffer shoulder agony from lugging it around town all day. :(

Microsoft wants to Warm You Up!

Scarfs these days are not only useful but fashionable. And now they are tech wearable thanks to Microsoft. This prototype scarf with its built-in sensors will access various factors like heart rate to determine how warm to heat up. Never be cold again!

The Wedding between Tech and Fashion

Today Fashion Times ran an article about the recent funding of Ringly, a wearable tech ring designed to provide subtle notifications using vibration and small lights from your phone to the wearer. Looks like this fashion tech wedding is really going to happen!

Victoria Secret has a SECRET Wearable!

Victoria Secret has a secret... it's built into one of their newest sports bra.   It allows you to attach your own heart rate monitor directly to the front and the electrodes built into the base of the bra allow transmission to several different compatible monitors.  Smart!  But while Natasha Lomas (@riptari) of Tech Crunch recently spoke about the bra as a "smart garment",  the jury is still out on how "washable" and user-friendly this garment will be.   #tech4her

Store all of your Love around your neck

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, the  jewelry stores are riddled with heart-shaped necklaces.  But not this one...

This Unique USB Flash Wearable just happens to be a fashionable necklace in the shape of a heart perfect for the upcoming holiday. So while you may find this online at Amazon, you won't find it behind your favorite jewelry store counter.  At least not yet.

This hand-crafted crystal flash drive is a fun and convenient way to save all of your "love letters" or documents whether you are at the office or at home.  Or it just may become your favorite necklace to wear. #tech4her

Jacket that NAVIGATEs Your Way Around Town

A Daily Mail article caught my eye the other day frankly because it was simply “weird” to associate a jacket with GPS navigation.  The other element that was very unusual is that the company was showing a woman wearing a bright neon fuchsia jacket with white stripes around the lower arms to promote their latest wearable creation.  Hmm.. I liked them even before I knew exactly what this jacket did.

Then I read that this jacket is a city-specific, location-enabled apparel.  Wearable Experiments is the company making this jacket happen.  With a sensor located inside, vibrations are given either to your left shoulder, right shoulder or directly in the middle.  These vibrations indicate which way to turn or if you have arrived. And all of this low-level GPS navigation is programmed by a simple app.

With this jacket I just might watch where I’m going and enjoy the scenery more without constantly looking at my iPhone.

And now that the Navigate App is available for walking in Paris, Sydney and New York, I just might hope on that red eye from Palm Springs to New York and test one out! #tech4her
